Industry Leader Jack Burgess Added to the Cambridge Who's Who Network

Jack Burgess graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Industrial Administration in 1990

    ORANGE PARK, FL, August 10, 2010 /Natural Resources PR News/ -- Jack Burgess, Director of Coal Facilities and Origin Sales for the CSX Corporation, Inc. has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in strategy development.

At the CSX Corporation Mr. Burgess manages the coal supply resources and coal water facilities to support the rail transportation of 200 million tons of coal each year. In addition to servicing the commercial needs of the coal producer customers, Mr. Burgess is responsible for detailing the market conditions and financial summary of the CSX coal business unit for quarterly earnings releases and regular investor reports and presentations.

In the past, Mr. Burgess served as a Captain in the United States Navy for 26 years. Five of these years were spent on active duty, while the rest were reserve duty. He attributes his success to his military background, education, patience, persistence and courage.

In 1990, Mr. Burgess graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Industrial Administration, where he earned a Master of Science in Industrial Administration. He is also the recipient of a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy. A member of the National Coal Transportation Association, he is a frequent blood donor and supports The Humane Society of the United States. In the future, Mr. Burgess intends to assume more responsibility, simplify train system management and serve as a representative for customers of the coal industry.

The largest railroad network east of the Mississippi, the CSX Corporation, Inc. provides rail transport services for coal, automobiles, minerals, agricultural products, food and consumer goods, chemicals, fertilizers, and forest and paper products.
