Reef Check Foundation Features Apollo, World Renowned Environmental Artist in Reefs e-Gallery

Reef Check (www.reefcheck.org) partners with Apollo, one of the world's renowned environmental artists to promote awareness and conservation of reefs through marine art. Apollo joins other international artists in the Artists for Reefs e-Gallery.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA, March 28, 2010 /Natural Resources PR News/ -- Reef Check announced it will be partnering with Apollo, one of the world's most renowned marine and environmental artists to promote awareness and conservation of reefs. His painting will be featured in Reefs e-Gallery as one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces. "Since I can remember, I have been in love with the ocean," Apollo recalls. "My work expresses my reverence for the beauty of the fragile environment that supports the world's reefs and its inhabitants."

Apollo's art has been appreciated by collectors across the United States and around the world. His artwork has appeared in books, magazines, television shows, murals and on numerous products worldwide. Apollo is one of today's most licensed artists. "I've seen his work in many forms," said Mr. Liguo Zheng, Chairman, Jilin Art and Animation College in Changchun, China. Smiling, he continued, "My wife's favorite beach towel has one of his underwater scenes (on it). The college proudly displays his beautiful work and we look forward to when he returns to paint a mural on our National Aquarium."

Apollo joins Ana Bikic, Barbara and Larry Domsky, Carlos Hiller, Courtney Mattison, Georgina Kenyon, Jerry Venditti, Michael Wicks and Wyland in making his artwork available through Reefs e-Gallery. The magnificence and beauty of the complex ecosystem can be experienced by the viewer. "Apollo's work seems so real, I find myself holding my breath," said Mary Stewart of Artists of America. "It's like I'm wearing a face mask and swimming underwater, exploring and discovering life among the reefs."

"I am very pleased to join Artists for Reefs e-Gallery and to have the opportunity to increase public awareness of the magnificent beauty of Earth's most endangered and most diverse ecosystem, the coral reefs," Apollo concluded, "I invite everyone to join the Reef Check Foundation in their conservation and educational efforts."
